Description
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Polymer Clay Jewelry Art Instructor to join our team at the YMCA Healthy Living Center in South OKC. The Art Instructor will be responsible for teaching art classes to individuals with a variety of skill levels. The ideal candidate will have a passion for art, teaching, and will be able to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach art classes to individuals of all skill levels
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the YMCA's mission and values
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression
- Provide individualized instruction and feedback to students
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment
- Communicate with students and their families about class schedules, expectations, and progress
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required

Requirements
- Previous experience teaching art classes to individuals of all ages and skill levels
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment
- Knowledge of various art techniques and mediums
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
