  • Summary:
  • As an Artisan - DPF, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) and related exhaust aftertreatment systems on Sandvik equipment. This role requires specialized technical skills and a strong understanding of DPF technology to ensure optimal performance and compliance with environmental standards.
  • Responsibilities:
  • * Perform diagnostic checks and troubleshooting on DPF systems to identify faults and malfunctions.
  • * Conduct maintenance, cleaning, regeneration, and repair of DPF units according to manufacturer specifications and Sandvik procedures.
  • * Remove and install DPF systems, ensuring proper sealing and connection.
  • * Inspect DPF components for wear, damage, and contamination.
  • * Utilize specialized tools and equipment for DPF servicing, including diagnostic software and DPF cleaning machinery.
  • * Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately and timely.
  • * Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, particularly when handling hazardous materials associated with DPF systems.
  • * Provide technical support and guidance to other technicians regarding DPF issues.
  • * Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • * Participate in ongoing training and development to stay updated on DPF technologies and Sandvik product advancements.
  • Qualifications:
  • * Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician with a strong focus on exhaust aftertreatment systems.
  • * Demonstrated expertise in DPF diagnosis, maintenance, repair, and regeneration processes.
  • * Relevant technical certification or diploma in heavy equipment repair, diesel technology, or a related field.
  • * Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic codes.
  • * Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and software specific to DPF systems.
  • * Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance related to diesel emissions.
  • * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • * Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • * Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environmental conditions.
