ABOUT ASTROBASE SPACE TECHNOLOGIES

Astrobase is a pioneering spacetech startup founded by prominent Senior ISRO scientists and IIT Bombay alumni with over 20 years of experience in designing, manufacturing, testing and flying advanced Cryogenic Launch Vehicles. Driven by a vision to make India a Space tech powerhouse, we are developing innovative launch vehicles that will transform space exploration. At Astrobase, you’ll be part of a team creating history in the Indian space industry. Our goal is to become the first private space company from India to land on the moon economically.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We seek a seasoned Operation & Maintenance Manager with 10-15 years of experience to oversee the full operations of rocket engine testing facilities. The role requires versatile knowledge across mechanical, civil, electrical, and electronics systems in industrial plants, managing administration, QC & safety, material management, O&M, and test readiness activities. Preference for cryogenic storage and dispensing station experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead end-to-end plant operations, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and safety for rocket engine testing facilities.

Handle administration, quality control & safety protocols, material management, operation & maintenance, and test readiness activities.

Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across mechanical, civil, electrical, and electronics domains.

Drive continuous improvement based on experience managing at least 5 large-scale industrial plants.

Ensure compliance with operational standards and readiness for high-stakes testing environments

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (preferred); other engineering disciplines considered.

10-15 years of experience in industrial plant O&M, with proven success in managing at least 10 large-scale plants.

Strong leadership in multi-domain operations, ideally including cryogenic storage and dispensing stations.

Familiarity with plant administration, QC, safety, and material management.

PREFFERED SKILLS

Knowledge of ERP systems, safety standards (e.g., ISO 45001), and testing protocols.

Excellent problem-solving, team management, and strategic planning abilities.
