We are seeking a product or tech lawyer to join the Amazon Legal team supporting Amazon Ads and the Amazon Demand Side Platform (ADSP).

ADSP is our programmatic advertising product for campaigns spanning Display, Video, and Audio across Amazon properties (e.g., Amazon.com, IMDb TV, Twitch, Fire TV, and Amazon Music) and tens of thousands of third-party (3P) websites and apps. As Associate Corporate Counsel, you will counsel the ADSP team on product development questions and ad tech issues at a time when AI is fundamentally reshaping the advertising landscape. AI-powered creative tools now allow brands to generate product-in-use videos and lifestyle imagery that previously required full production shoots, while AI-powered optimization is making full-funnel advertising simpler and more accessible. Agentic AI is also entering the commerce layer, with AI assistants beginning to influence purchasing decisions and platforms integrating paid advertising into conversational shopping experiences. These developments create novel legal questions across the ad tech stack. You will handle legal issues in business-centric ways and develop processes that address risk while allowing the business flexibility and freedom to quickly develop services that prioritize and delight our customers.

  • Key job responsibilities
  • - Counseling product and engineering teams on the development and deployment of AI-driven advertising features
  • - Advising on emerging regulatory and compliance requirements for AI in advertising
  • - Navigating the intersection of programmatic advertising and agentic AI
  • - Supporting product launches across Display, Video, and Audio inventory
  • - Advising on data governance for AI-powered advertising products, including audience data use and cross-platform measurement in an evolving privacy landscape
  • - Partnering with privacy, policy, trust and safety, and engineering teams to build scalable legal frameworks that keep pace with rapid product innovation

Basic qualifications

  • - 2+ years of legal experience
  • - 2+ years of post bar admission legal experience
  • - Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
  • - Knowledge of the ethical considerations surrounding AI in the legal context, such as confidentiality, accuracy, and bias prevention
  • - Experience in private practice or in house experience at a technology company or equivalent
  • - Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines

Preferred qualifications

- Experience in web services/cloud computing, software licensing, telecommunications or equivalent
