Automation Engineer, Senior Associate

Job Description

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with around 8 years of experience to design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions for web and/or API-based applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in testing concepts, hands-on automation experience, and the ability to work closely with development and product teams in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• •Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and API applications
• •Execute automated and manual test cases and analyze test results
• •Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and define test scenarios
• •Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data
• •Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools (JIRA or similar)
• •Perform regression, smoke, and sanity testing as part of release cycles
• •Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• •Ensure test coverage and quality metrics are met before releases
• •Continuously improve automation frameworks, test coverage, and testing processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

• •8+ years of experience in QA with strong focus on test automation
• •Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals (STLC, SDLC, test design techniques)
• •Experience working with test frameworks like TestNG, Cucumber and Gauge etc.
• •Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks such as:
• •Selenium / Playwright / Cypress

• •Proficiency in at least one programming language:
• •Java / Python / JavaScript

• •Experience in API testing (Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools)
• •Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• •Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• •Familiarity with version control systems like Git
• •Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• •Strong communication and collaboration abilities
