Banquet Captain

Location: Ocotillo Golf Club - Chandler, AZ

­The Banquet Captain at Ocotillo Golf Club oversees and coordinates all aspects of banquet and event operations. This role requires a detail-oriented, customer-focused professional with strong leadership skills and the ability to ensure seamless execution of events, from setup to breakdown.

Responsibilities:

• •Plan and coordinate all aspects of banquet and event operations, ensuring the successful execution of each event.
• •Collaborate with event planners, clients, and internal teams to understand event requirements and expectations.
• •Supervise banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and support staff.
• •Provide clear instructions and guidance to ensure the team delivers exceptional service.
• •Oversee the setup and breakdown of banquet spaces, ensuring proper placement of tables, chairs, linens, and decorations.
• •Conduct pre-event inspections to ensure all details are in place.
• •Interact with clients and guests to ensure their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
• •Address any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
• •Train and mentor banquet staff on service standards, procedures, and customer interaction.
• •Conduct pre-event briefings to communicate event details and expectations.
• •Monitor the quality of food and beverage service to ensure it meets or exceeds standards.
• •Address any service-related issues and implement improvements as needed.

Qualifications:

• •Previous experience as a Banquet Captain or in a similar supervisory role in the hospitality industry.
• •Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• •Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• •Knowledge of food and beverage service and event planning.
