Requirements

What you’ll do:

• •Leading youth camps and clinics for ages 3 to 14
• •Greeting and welcoming participants, parents, and guests
• •Ensuring training sessions are high energy, fun, safe, and creating a positive overall experience for participants
• •Some collaboration for the planning of sessions
• •Assisting with organizing, setting up, and cleaning up before and after programs
• •Participating in staff meetings

What makes you a great fit:

• •An enthusiastic, energetic, and positive personality!
• •At least two years of youth sports coaching experience, or comparable experience working with children in a school or childcare setting, preferably with ages 3–8
• •Knowledge of basketball, including technical aspects
• •Experience organizing training sessions for children
• •Professional demeanor and presentation
• •The ability to multitask and work well under pressure
• •Excellent verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to listen and respond appropriately to children and adults both in person and in electronic communication
• •A strong work ethic that includes punctuality, organization, and attention to detail
• •Availability to coach clinics on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings, with typical hours of 4 to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturdays
• •Availability to coach camps on select out-of-school days between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
