We are looking for someone with strong technical and commercial awareness, excellent communication skills, and experience working across both public and private sectors. In return, you'll benefit from diverse and rewarding projects, a supportive team environment, and excellent opportunities to develop your career within a forward-thinking global consultancy.
Your role
- Manage refurbishment, maintenance, and capital improvement projects from feasibility through to completion.
- Prepare project briefs, specifications, schedules of work, and tender documentation.
- Support project planning, programming, cost control, and budget management activities.
- Monitor project performance against programme, quality, scope, and financial objectives.
- Conduct condition surveys, building inspections, and defect investigations.
- Produce technical reports, including defect analysis and recommendations for remedial works.
- Coordinate contractors, consultants, clients, and other stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
- Administer construction contracts, including NEC and JCT forms of contract.
- Carry out site inspections, progress reviews, and quality checks to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support compliance with Building Regulations, CDM requirements, and health and safety legislation.
About you
- Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related construction discipline.
- Student member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and actively working towards chartership.
- Experience supporting refurbishment, maintenance, or capital works projects.
- Good understanding of building construction, surveying principles, and defect diagnosis.
- Knowledge of Building Regulations, construction legislation, and industry best practice.
- Experience or exposure to NEC and/or JCT contract administration.
- Strong project planning, organisation, and time management skills.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong report-writing, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
- Experience working across a range of sectors, including private and public sector projects, would be beneficial.
