The Role
CAA Sports is currently seeking a full-time Business Affairs Professional to support business affairs executives in its New York office. The position is located in New York City and on an in-person basis. The ideal candidate must be thorough, thoughtful, detail-oriented, flexible, self-driven and collaborative. The ideal candidate must be able to prioritize and juggle multiple responsibilities and understand the sports and entertainment industries.
Essential Functions
Assist in and support Business Affairs Executives in the Sports Business Affairs department, with a focus on corporate and compliance matters.
Process basic contracts for CAA Sports related to its brand consulting, executive search and other corporate sports offerings.
Perform basic third party vendor diligence in collaboration with CAA’s various corporate departments.
Support the management of internal filing, compliance and governance procedures within the CAA Sports corporate businesses. This will include organizing a large volume of electronic files, ensuring all relevant documents are quickly accessible
Be proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Word Excel and Power Point, as well as Acrobat Adobe Professional and iManage.
Assist with special projects, research, and compiling information as needed.
Qualifications
BA/BS from an accredited University or College and ideally, some legal education or training.
At least 1+ years’ experience within the legal industry
Outgoing, creative thinker, with strong interest or knowledge of sports and entertainment
Ability to stay “one step ahead” at all times
Detail-oriented and extremely organized
Adept at problem solving and thinking quick on his/her/their feet
Ability to perform well under pressure and in a deadline-driven environment
Team oriented
Location
This role will be hybrid, located in our New York office.
Compensation
The annual base salary range for this position is as follows:
New York, NY - $67,000 to $85,000. This position is also eligible for benefits and a discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in the role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
