Description
About Us
From weddings and celebrations to corporate gatherings and major sporting productions, our team works behind the scenes to bring events to life. We take pride in delivering exceptional experiences, embracing creativity, and making every event run seamlessly.
We believe extraordinary events start with extraordinary people. If you take pride in your work, enjoy collaborating with a supportive team, and want to be part of something bigger, you’ll feel at home here.
About the Job
This isn’t your typical sales role. The Business Development Manager creates demand instead of just responding to it, spotting new markets, partnerships, and event opportunities before anyone else does. You’ll connect the dots others miss and pitch creative, scalable ideas that expand Bright’s reach, revenue, and relevance. You’re not a farmer. You’re a hunter, an inventor, and a builder.
What You’ll Do
- Proactively identify and pursue new clients, venues, event types, and untapped market segments.
- Pitch creative proposals that go beyond the ask, turning simple rental needs into experiential environments and full-scale event concepts.
- Develop new channels by building relationships with traditional and non-traditional partners, such as real estate developers, municipalities, entertainment districts, and tourism boards.
- Walk sites, meet clients, and offer on-the-spot solutions that balance long-term revenue strategy with logistical feasibility.
- Build strategic partnerships that position our offerings as essential to venue success, seasonal programming, and community initiatives.
- Track seasonal trends, city permitting developments, and the evolving needs of venues and event producers.
- Set and exceed ambitious sales targets by creating opportunities where none existed before.
What You Bring
Required
· 5+ years in business development, sales strategy, or partnerships
· Strong CRM fluency (Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent)
· Creative, entrepreneurial mindset with a gift for seeing opportunities others miss and the drive to make them real
· Natural connector who is energized by building new relationships and walking into unfamiliar territory
· Comfort with ambiguity and proposing ideas that haven’t been done before
· Sales-minded and strategic, driven to close deals without sacrificing long-term value
· Strong attention to detail, with the ability to hold a big vision while managing the details that make it work
· Passion for events and the energy, scale, and impact of great experiences
Nice to Have
· Experience in events, hospitality, luxury services, or design-forward industries
· Knowledge of event logistics, permitting, site planning, and custom fabrication
