We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) with 4–12 years of experience in project sales and interior products . The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the interior, architecture, construction, and building-materials ecosystem, with proven expertise in developing business through project-based sales.

The role involves identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with architects, interior designers, contractors, builders, developers, and project stakeholders, and driving sales from lead generation through order closure. The candidate should possess strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and the ability to manage the complete project sales cycle.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the project sales and interior products segment.
  • Generate leads through market mapping, networking, references, industry contacts, architects, interior designers, contractors, builders, developers, and other relevant channels.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key decision-makers and project stakeholders.
  • Understand client requirements, project specifications, timelines, budgets, and product expectations to recommend suitable solutions.
  • Manage the end-to-end project sales cycle , including lead generation, qualification, product presentation, quotation, negotiation, follow-ups, order closure, and post-sales coordination.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of upcoming and ongoing interior and construction projects.
  • Regularly meet architects, interior designers, project consultants, contractors, procurement teams, and other influencers to generate business opportunities.
  • Present and demonstrate the company's interior product portfolio, highlighting product features, applications, quality, pricing, and commercial value.
  • Track project progress from the initial stage through execution and identify opportunities to secure product specifications and orders.
  • Coordinate with internal teams such as sales support, design, operations, production, logistics, and finance to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, project pipelines, MIS reports, and regular updates on business development activities.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions while working toward business targets.
  • Monitor competitor activity, market trends, customer requirements, and pricing to identify new opportunities and strengthen market positioning.
  • Ensure timely follow-up with prospective and existing customers to maximize conversions and repeat business.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, quotations, orders, and project status.
  • Required Qualifications & Experience
  • 4–12 years of relevant experience in Business Development, Project Sales, B2B Sales, or Sales within the interior products/building materials industry.
  • Proven experience handling project-based sales with architects, interior designers, contractors, builders, developers, or corporate clients.
  • Strong understanding of the interior products and construction ecosystem .
  • Demonstrated ability to generate leads independently and convert opportunities into revenue.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Strong commercial understanding with the ability to handle pricing and business negotiations.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, project visits, exhibitions, and business development activities as required.

Key Competencies The ideal candidate should be target-oriented, proactive, commercially aware, and relationship-driven , with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong networking skills and an established industry connect will be an advantage.
