Location: NYC (Hybrid – at least 4 days onsite/week, Monday - Thursday)
This is a 6 month consulting opportunity that can be extended up to 12 months

We are looking for a strong C++ Developer to build a greenfield, low-latency market data application for a high-frequency trading firm. The ideal candidate will have strong OOP fundamentals, especially in C++, and will be passionate about developing new features on Trade and Market Access Platforms.
Role and responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance C++ systems from the ground up for a global Market Data Feed Application
- Apply strong OOP, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms to build clean and maintainable systems
Design scalable, low-latency components for real-time market data processing
Develop network connectivity using UDP/TCP, including multicast
Implement and integrate financial market data protocols including ITCH, PITCH, and OUCH
Build market data processing and order book components
Design concurrent, thread-safe systems with a focus on latency, throughput, and reliability
Profile, benchmark, and optimize performance-critical code
Optimizing this platform by using network and systems programming, as well as other advanced techniques to minimize latency
Requirements
3-5 years of C++ backend development
Strong C++ programming and object-oriented design fundamentals (Must be familiar with C++ 23 features or latest C++ 17)
Excellent knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system design
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Experience building performance-sensitive or real-time systems is highly preferred.
