A Day in Your Life at MKS:
This position will be reporting to the Mfg/Operations Supervisor:
- Principal Responsibilities:
- Perform calibration, testing, and verification of instruments, tools, and equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with required standards and specifications.
- Document calibration results, maintain detailed records, and update calibration databases to ensure traceability and adherence to quality system requirements.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, identify out of tolerance conditions, and coordinate repairs or adjustments as needed to restore proper functionality.
- Support audits, quality inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives by providing technical expertise on measurement systems and calibration procedures.
- Required Skills:
- Minimum of 0-1 years of related experience
- Strong understanding of calibration principles and metrology, including measurement uncertainty, traceability, and instrument specifications.
- Proficiency with calibration tools and equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, pressure gauges, temperature sensors, and other test instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including equipment manuals, schematics, calibration procedures, and industry standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills, with the ability to record accurate data, maintain calibration records, and follow quality system requirements.
- Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time.
- Frequently positions self to perform tasks and positions objects below, at, and above shoulder level.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually average.
