The Kenneth G. Dixon Career Development Center (DCDC) advances student success by connecting UCF students with career development resources, meaningful experiences, employers, and opportunities that support their transition from college to career. Through career education, experiential learning, recruiting programs, graduate and professional school preparation, and partnerships across the university and employer community, the DCDC helps students explore career possibilities, build career readiness skills, and connect with opportunities. Employer Relations and Industry Partnerships serves as the primary bridge between DCDC and the employer community, cultivating relationships that expand internships, employment opportunities, and industry engagement for students.
The Opportunity :
The UCF Lockheed Martin College Work Experience Program (CWEP) is housed within UCF Career Services and provides undergraduate and graduate students with year-round, paid opportunities to gain hands-on professional experience aligned with their academic and career goals. For more than 40 years, UCF and Lockheed Martin have partnered through CWEP to help students develop real-world skills and experience while contributing to meaningful work within the organization.
The Career Services Coordinator provides comprehensive program support for CWEP, supporting students throughout the employment lifecycle, program marketing and recruiting, maintaining accurate student and program records, conducting marketing and recruiting activities, and supporting the administrative processes necessary for the effective operation of CWEP.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive program support for the UCF Lockheed Martin College Work Experience Program (CWEP), including reviewing hiring requisitions, sourcing and referring qualified candidates, coordinating interviews, communicating employment offers to students, managing applicant tracking activities, and facilitating HR-related hiring processes.
- Coordinate and process orientation and onboarding requirements for new CWEP students. Review, verify, and notarize required documentation; monitor completion of background checks and drug screenings; and ensure all employment requirements are completed accurately and timely.
- Serve as a primary resource for CWEP students regarding timekeeping, payroll, program policies and procedures, internal transfers, and other employment-related matters. Serve as the CWEP payroll timekeeper and submit and manage CWEP-related transactions and requisitions in Workday.
- Create and maintain accurate CWEP program records, including individual student employment files, payroll and compensation information, and other required program documentation. Ensure records are complete, current, and maintained in accordance with university and program requirements.
- Support the marketing and recruitment of students for CWEP by promoting program opportunities, conducting outreach to prospective applicants, participating in recruitment activities, and representing CWEP at career fairs, information sessions, campus programs, and other events.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned in support of CWEP, DCDC, and departmental priorities.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's and 2+ years of relevant experience or Masters degree and 0+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6) .
Preferred Qualifications :
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with databases, applicant tracking systems, or student/HR platforms such as Handshake or Workday.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records, manage multiple processes, and meet established deadlines.

Special Instructions to the Applicants:
- The anticipated hourly range for this position is $20.29-$24.86. The final rate will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
- This is a Contracts & Grants (C&G) funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.
- Position requires a valid Class E driver’s license. This position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.
