Location: Saint-Denis-De-L'Hôtel; Paris

Segment: Pet Nutrition

Type of contract: Permanent

As our Category Manager, you will lead the commercial relationship and category growth for the AURA alliance (Intermarché, Auchan, Casino). In this strategic and high-impact role, you will bridge the gap between commercial negotiation, category leadership, and data analytics. Acting as the primary commercial face to our retail partners, you will turn consumer insights into actionable growth strategies while working closely with cross-functional teams (Customer Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance).

What are we looking for?

  • You bring a solid background in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or large retail sector, with at least 1 to 2 years of successful experience in Category Management (market or customer), Key Account Management, or Revenue Management (SRM/promotions).
  • You have a strong analytical appetite and a proven ability to turn complex data into actionable commercial insights . Hands-on expertise with Nielsen and Kantar panels (OSA, Sell-out) is essential to back up your strategy with solid market evidence.
  • You have a track record of formulating strong category recommendations across the key growth levers (assortment, promotion, pricing, and placement) to drive mutual business growth.
  • You possess strong negotiation and customer-facing skills , with the ability to manage promotional plans and build high-trust partnerships directly with retail head offices.
  • You excel at influencing cross-functional teams and senior leaders, demonstrating exceptional communication skills and a deep customer-centric mindset.
  • You thrive in dynamic environments, combining rigor, analytical agility , and a hands-on approach to trade revenue optimization and ROI tracking.
  • You communicate effectively in English (B1/B2 level minimum) , enabling you to collaborate in an international environment.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Commercial & Business Planning: Co-lead the development and execution of the Joint Business Plan (JBP) to deliver profitable and sustainable Net Sales Value (NSV) growth across assigned banners.
  • Category Leadership : Translate market data into strategic category stories and tailored recommendations across the key levers (assortment, placement, promotions, and pricing).
  • Promotional Strategy & Execution: Own and negotiate promotional plans, ensuring budget discipline, Trade Revenue Optimization (TRO), and return on investment (ROI).
  • Customer Influence & Collaboration: Build trusted, long-term partnerships with customer central buying offices and ensure top-tier execution of joint initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the voice of major customers internally through S&OP cycles, collaborating seamlessly with Customer Marketing, Supply Chain, and Category Leadership teams.
  • Omnichannel Growth: Identify and drive omnichannel development opportunities to capture growth across physical stores and digital/e-commerce retail channels.
