CDL Class A Driver– Highway Construction

Colorado Springs, CO | $ 28-$31 per hour

We’re looking for a CDL Class A Driver to transport trucks, equipment, and materials to guardrail installation projects. This is a hands-on construction role that combines commercial driving with supporting the crew on the jobsite.

You’ll report to our Colorado Springs location each Monday and travel with the crew for the workweek. Candidates must live within commuting distance and be prepared to stay out of town Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

Safely drive company trucks and transport equipment and materials to and from jobsites.

Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs.

Load, unload, and properly secure equipment and materials.

Maintain required driving and inspection records.

Follow applicable DOT requirements and company safety procedures.

Assist the crew with guardrail layout, setup, and installation.

Use hand and power tools and assist with manual digging and other physical tasks as needed.

Work closely with the foreman and crew to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

Valid Class A CDL.

At least two years of commercial driving experience.

Experience securing and transporting equipment or construction materials.

Willingness to perform physical construction work in addition to driving.

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Ability to commute to the Colorado Springs location and travel overnight Monday through Friday.

Preferred Experience

Heavy equipment operation.

Guardrail installation or heavy highway construction.

Basic mechanical knowledge, including hydraulic or pneumatic equipment.

Compensation

$28-$31 per hour , depending on qualifications and experience.

US pay range for this role.

$28 — $31 USD
