Fractile is building the next generation of AI computing technology, developing innovative hardware and software solutions designed to transform the performance and efficiency of AI workloads.
We're bringing together exceptional talent across semiconductor engineering, software, and AI to solve some of the most ambitious challenges in computing.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and highly technical Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead Fractile's information security, corporate IT, and IT infrastructure functions.
You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive technology and security strategy, ensuring Fractile's systems, infrastructure, intellectual property, and business operations are secure, reliable, and scalable.
This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role, combining cybersecurity expertise with ownership of IT operations, infrastructure, and service delivery. You will build and lead high-performing teams, establish robust processes and governance, and ensure our technology environment supports Fractile's rapid growth and engineering ambitions.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute Fractile's information security, IT, and infrastructure strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational requirements, and global growth.
Own and oversee corporate IT operations, infrastructure, networks, cloud environments, endpoints, and enterprise systems, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and scalability.
Lead IT service delivery, including employee technology, hardware and software provisioning, IT support, onboarding and offboarding, asset management, and enterprise applications.
Protect Fractile's proprietary semiconductor designs, intellectual property, source code, research, and confidential business information against internal and external threats.
Partner with engineering teams to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure supporting semiconductor development, software engineering, and research environments.
Establish and maintain cybersecurity governance, risk management frameworks, policies, and controls aligned with recognised industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Lead cybersecurity incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning across IT and infrastructure environments.
Oversee IT and security architecture, including identity and access management, network security, endpoint protection, cloud security, access controls, and secure systems integration.
Manage technology vendors, infrastructure providers, third-party security risks, IT budgets, procurement, licensing, and supplier relationships to ensure operational efficiency and value.
Build, lead, and develop high-performing IT, infrastructure, and security teams, advising executive leadership on technology risks, investments, priorities, and operational resilience.
Requirements
Significant leadership experience across information security, IT operations, and infrastructure, ideally as a CISO, CIO, VP IT & Security, or equivalent within a technology organisation.
Proven experience developing and executing IT, infrastructure, and cybersecurity strategies in complex, high-growth environments.
Strong technical expertise across enterprise IT, cloud infrastructure, networking, systems administration, identity management, endpoint management, and cybersecurity.
Demonstrated experience building, scaling, and managing IT infrastructure and service delivery functions, including enterprise applications, employee IT support, and operational processes.
Experience protecting sensitive intellectual property, proprietary technologies, engineering systems, or research and development environments.
Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity risk management, governance, compliance, and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and SOC 2
Proven ability to establish resilient, scalable, and secure infrastructure, including disaster recovery, business continuity, monitoring, and incident management.
Experience managing IT and security budgets, technology procurement, vendor relationships, and third-party service providers.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior executives and highly technical engineering teams.
Experience within AI infrastructure, high-performance or deep-tech environments would be highly advantageous.
