CNC Machinist

Duties and Responsibilities:

• •Set up and operate CNC machines following blueprints and specifications. Assigned machines may include lathes, grinders, multi-axis mills, and similar equipment.
• •Choose, align, and securely attach holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and other materials on machines.
• •Apply knowledge of mathematics and utilize manual inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to verify product conformance.
• •Identify malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining; adjusts controls of machine to correct errors.
• •Maintain safe, orderly, cleanly, and organized production area.
• •Assist with training of junior employees and program participants.
• •Role model proper work ethics and behaviors.

Skills and Abilities

• •Previous manufacturing experience running CNC Mills, Haas preferred.
• •Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation.
• •Experience using basic inspection equipment.
• •Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• •Willingness to support training needs of new employees

Requirements

Qualifications:

• •At least two years of experience as a fully qualified machinist required.
• •High school diploma or equivalent required; participation in qualified CNC training program highly desirable.
• •Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
