Commercial Finance Analyst

Sturtevant, WI | Plant-based hybrid role: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote

Get closer to the business. Make a bigger impact.

Are you a commercially minded finance professional who wants more than reporting deadlines and spreadsheet handovers?

Daniels Health is looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to help shape decisions at the heart of our Sturtevant plant operation. You will partner directly with Operations, Sales, Transport and Customer Service—using data to uncover opportunities, improve profitability and help teams make smarter decisions every day.

This is a high-visibility role for someone who is curious, resilient and ready to get into the detail. You will see how the business runs, understand what is driving performance and turn analysis into action.

Why this role stands out

You will not be sitting on the sidelines.

Reporting to the Senior Commercial Finance Analyst , you will be a key finance partner to our Sturtevant plant and wider Midwest business. Your work will influence customer profitability, pricing, service models, transport efficiency, operational performance and growth opportunities.

One day you could be assessing whether a major customer is delivering the right margin. The next, you may be helping optimize truck capacity, building a business case, preparing an RFP analysis or identifying the reason behind an unexpected cost trend.

You will work closely with the people making decisions—and your insights will help them make better ones. This is a practical, candid and fast-moving environment, so you will be comfortable navigating competing views, asking thoughtful questions and keeping perspective when priorities shift.

What you’ll make happen

Turn operational and commercial data into clear, practical recommendations.

Support profitability analysis across customers, pricing, service arrangements and cost-to-serve.

Help evaluate RFPs, contract renewals and new-business opportunities, ensuring growth is commercially sound.

Partner with Operations and Transport to improve capacity utilization, service frequency and cost efficiency.

Support plant leaders with performance reporting, KPIs, dashboards and insight they can act on.

Contribute to monthly close, including P&L review, expense analysis, variance commentary and business-unit reporting.

Support budgeting, forecasting, modelling, scenario planning and business cases.

Investigate data issues, identify bottlenecks and help improve processes across the operation.

Build stronger reporting tools and improve the quality, consistency and usefulness of business data.

What you’ll bring

Whether you began your career in public accounting or industry , you will bring strong analytical foundations and the drive to apply them in a practical, commercial setting.

2+ years’ experience in public accounting, commercial finance, FP&A, corporate finance, business partnering or a related analytical finance role.

A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related discipline.

Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large, complex or imperfect datasets.

Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and variance analysis.

Exposure to an ERP system; SAP, Enwis/Tegos or similar experience is beneficial.

Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau or another BI/reporting tool is an advantage.

A sharp commercial mindset—you look beyond the numbers to identify the risk, opportunity and action required.

The confidence to build relationships and explain finance clearly to operational and non-finance stakeholders.

A calm, adaptable and resilient approach; you can work through ambiguity, welcome constructive challenge and maintain a positive, good-humored outlook when the pace picks up.

The judgment to know when to push for answers, when to listen and how to build credibility with a broad range of stakeholders.

Why Daniels Health

Daniels Health delivers essential healthcare waste-management solutions that protect people and support safer healthcare environments. Our work is practical, purpose-led and important—and we need finance professionals who want to be equally close to the action.

In this role, you will gain broad exposure across plant operations, sales, transportation, customer profitability and financial planning. You will join a collaborative team, work with approachable leaders and have genuine scope to build your capability and take on more responsibility over time.

If you are ready to turn financial analysis into commercial impact, apply now.
