Reliable Electric and Lighting is growing and has immediate openings for experienced Commercial Lighting Retrofit Foremen and Installers to join our traveling Projects Team.

Pay & Travel

  • Commercial Lighting Installers: $19.00–$21.00 per hour
  • Commercial Lighting Foremen: $24.00–$28.00 per hour
  • Overtime: Significant overtime available based on project schedules
  • Per Diem: $30.00 per day while traveling
  • Hotels: Company paid
  • Travel: Company paid
  • Company transportation provided

These are 100% travel positions working on commercial lighting retrofit projects throughout the United States.

Commercial Lighting Foreman

We are seeking experienced, hands-on leaders with extensive commercial lighting retrofit experience, strong leadership abilities, and excellent organizational skills. Foremen are responsible for leading crews while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to company quality standards.

Foreman Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial lighting retrofit crews on projects nationwide.
  • Manage daily jobsite operations and maintain production schedules.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and according to company standards.
  • Complete required paperwork and project documentation, including:
  • Daily reports
  • Timecards
  • Material tracking
  • Safety documentation
  • Project documentation
  • Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Superintendents, customers, and crew members.
  • Train, mentor, and develop field employees.
  • Maintain quality workmanship while meeting project deadlines.

Commercial Lighting Installer

Installers work as part of a traveling crew completing commercial lighting retrofit projects throughout the United States.

Installer Responsibilities

  • Perform interior and exterior commercial lighting retrofits and upgrades.
  • Replace fixtures, lamps, ballasts, drivers, and related lighting components.
  • Work on pole lights, wall packs, building lighting, signage lighting, and other commercial lighting systems.
  • Perform basic lighting troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Work safely from ladders and aerial lifts.
  • Follow project plans, company procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain productivity and quality standards.
  • Work effectively as part of a traveling project crew.

Requirements

Foreman Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of commercial lighting retrofit experience .
  • Previous experience as a Foreman, Lead Technician, or Crew Leader .
  • Proven experience leading and managing crews in the field.
  • Ability to read and interpret lighting layouts, electrical drawings, and project specifications.
  • Experience completing daily reports, timecards, material tracking, and other project documentation.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be willing to work a significant amount of overtime.
  • Willing and able to travel extensively throughout the United States.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record .
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings.
  • OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Installer Requirements

  • Commercial lighting, electrical, construction, or related experience preferred.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights using ladders and aerial lifts.
  • Must be willing to work a significant amount of overtime.
  • Must be willing and able to travel extensively throughout the United States.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record .
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
