Role/Team overview

Following the successful launch and continued growth of Sky Mobile, we are looking for a commercially minded, customer-focused leader to help take the business to the next level. The Commercial Mobile Controller will play a central role in delivering our Mobile commercial KPIs, working across Sky Ireland to grow sales, reduce churn, strengthen customer value and support sustainable revenue and EBITDA growth.

This is a broad, high-profile role spanning SIM and device performance, quarterly planning, offer strategy, customer lifecycle management and major device launches. You will combine a forensic understanding of performance with the ability to bring teams together, turn insight into action and respond quickly in a highly competitive Irish mobile market.

What you’ll do –

  • Own and deliver quarterly Mobile targets across SIM and device portfolios, with clear accountability for sales, activations, churn, net growth, revenue and EBITDA performance.
  • Build robust commercial plans, forecasts and mitigation actions, identifying emerging risks and opportunities and bringing the wider business together behind the right response.
  • Lead device portfolio performance and major launches, working with Product, Supply, Finance, Marketing, Digital, Operations, Route to Market teams and external partners to maximise customer and commercial outcomes.
  • Shape Mobile offer and lifecycle strategy across acquisition, retention, recontacting, upgrades and customer engagement, using customer insight and market trends to optimise lifetime value.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the Irish mobile market and competitor activity, translating external developments into clear recommendations and timely action.
  • Provide concise, insight-led performance updates to senior leaders, ensuring decisions are grounded in a clear view of customer behaviour, commercial drivers and delivery priorities.

Essential Criteria –

  • Strong commercial judgement, with proven experience owning KPIs and translating performance insight into actions that deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent analytical capability and confidence working with complex data, forecasts and business plans to identify underlying drivers, risks and opportunities.
  • A decisive, delivery-oriented approach, with the ability to simplify ambiguity, prioritise effectively and maintain momentum in a fast-moving environment.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with experience influencing across a matrix organisation and bringing multiple functions behind a common plan.
  • Credibility and confidence presenting to senior leaders, with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and secure support for recommendations.
  • A strong customer mindset, balancing commercial outcomes with doing the right thing for customers and protecting the long-term health of the business.

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Experience in the Irish mobile, telecommunications or another highly competitive subscription market.
  • Knowledge of device portfolio management, OEM or partner relationships, supply planning and major product launches.
  • Experience developing acquisition, retention, recontacting or customer lifecycle propositions and offers.
  • Understanding of digital and assisted Routes to Market, including the commercial levers that improve conversion and activation.
  • Experience working closely with Marketing, Finance, Product, Operations, Trading and Customer Service teams.
  • An entrepreneurial, curious and energetic style, with a bias for action and a desire to continuously improve how the team works.
