Job Description & Summary

About the role:

This is a key role within our internal Reward, Performance, Benefits & Wellbeing (RPBW) team. This team provides reward support and advice to the UK firm on internal reward policy and operations. The RPBW team is part of the firm’s People Function community and consists of a group of 25 people including analysts, managers and senior managers reporting to the RPBW Director. We are now looking for an experienced compensation manager to join the team on a permanent basis. The role consists of a need to combine reward expertise (particularly in employee pay and bonus strategy, policy and execution) with stakeholder management. The role will cover both operational, policy and more strategic firmwide reward projects as well as the annual salary review process. It will also include dealing with complex day to day queries as the need arises. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong analytical, written and commercial skills plus experience of dealing with a range of stakeholders. This is a business orientated role and would suit an individual who is enthusiastic and keen to strengthen their reward and project management skills in an operational environment. We are looking for someone with strong previous experience from either a consultancy or corporate environment. You will need to demonstrate good knowledge and understanding of reward principles and their organisational impact.

What your days will look like:

Managing the annual salary review process and firmwide reward projects.

  • Supporting external market benchmarking.
  • Coaching and supervising junior team members.

Managing reward and compensation queries.

This role is for you if:

Proven, demonstrable reward experience at manager level with strong technical skills, knowledge of best practice and a broad understanding of commercial and business issues.

Previous analytical experience in a professional environment.

Proven competent/advanced Excel spreadsheet skills including an ability to manipulate large volumes of data. Ability to work with complex formulas, vlookups, and graphs is essential.

Experience in utilising wider data analytical tools such as Alteryx and PowerBI would be desirable.

What you’ll receive from us:

No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions. We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
