Complex Needs Specialist

  • Salary: £28,487- £34,730 per annum

About the Role

As a key member of the Haringey Recovery Service (HRS), you will manage a caseload of adult service users receiving recovery support within community settings. The role involves working both from the main office at HAGA/HRS, 590 Seven Sisters Road, and out in the community.

You will deliver person-centred, evidence-based interventions to support individuals accessing care for:

Opioid Substitution Therapy (OST)

Alcohol use

Non-opiate substance use

Combined alcohol and non-opiate needs

This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in improving health outcomes and supporting individuals throughout their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver structured one-to-one support and harm minimisation advice

Develop and review personalised recovery plans

Facilitate and run group sessions within the service and wider community

Empower service users to set and achieve recovery goals safely

Build strong, collaborative relationships with GPs, healthcare professionals, and wider social care networks

Work alongside community partners to support access to additional services beyond appointments

Support and engage volunteers and peer support workers

To Succeed in This Role, You Will Need

Essential

A strong passion for supporting individuals through recovery

Ability to build positive, professional relationships with service users and stakeholders

Experience delivering person-centred or tailored interventions

Strong communication and motivational skills

Ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams

A community-focused, inclusive approach to practice

Desirable

Experience working within substance misuse services or similar support roles

Knowledge of harm reduction approaches and recovery models

Experience facilitating group sessions or workshops

Understanding of partnership working across health and social care services
