This position is part of Novanta's Robotics & Automation business unit. Robotics & Automation's ATI brand name is the world’s leading developer of robotic end of arm technologies. Primary Responsibilities

• •Designing, writing, and testing software that is used to calibrate and test industrial robot tooling.
• •Develop test plans and procedures
• •Write test instructions.
• •Windows software is written in .NET languages (C#, Visual Basic, etc.). May involve some assembly and C programming for microcontroller firmware.

Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies

• •Understanding of object oriented programming (experience with .NET languages is a plus).
• •Knowledge of or willingness to learn basic concepts of digital electronic hardware.
• •Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• •Min. GPA: 3.5
• •Must be a US citizen or green card holder and have dependable transportation.

Management prefers:

• •Good understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts, such as subnet masking and MAC addresses vs. IP addresses.
• •Basic experience with Assembly language.
• •Basic experience with C/C++.
