MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS (Duties include but are not limited to the following):

Based in Hong Kong, the successful candidate will be part of Christie's Asia Pacific Legal team and report to the Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, APAC.

· Conduct legal research into various topics concerning art law, art finance, general commercial issues and compliance topics such as data privacy, AML, sanctions and labour law.

· Draft non-disclosure agreements, demand letters to debtors and other commercial contracts based on global templates.

· Support copyright clearance and other related intellectual property matters such as tackling online infringement.

· Liaise with artist representative associations and other colleagues in the relevant departments.

· Assist with translations and template management.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

· Final or penultimate year student or graduate from LLB or other LLB dual degree.

· Prior experience in in-house legal teams, barristers’ chambers or law firms is preferred.

· Diligent and reliable, with high integrity and a strong commitment to professional ethics and confidentiality.

· Team player and ability to work independently.

· Highly flexible and adaptive to rapid changes in the working environment.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills.

· Detail-oriented and self-motivated.

· Excellent command of both spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word Processing are pre-requisites).

Salary Range

HKD20,000 to 22,000 per month
