the posting
At Mirazon, we've spent years building a technology services company that our clients rely on and our people are proud to be part of. We're a tight-knit team that takes the work seriously (without taking ourselves too seriously). We value straight talk, genuine expertise, and doing right by the people we serve.
This role sits at the center of how we run the business. As Controller / Finance Manager, you'll own the financial engine behind three distinct revenue lines and give our leadership team the clarity they need to make smart decisions and grow with confidence. Clean numbers, sharp analysis, and forward-looking insight from this seat don't just keep us compliant; they shape where the company goes next.
Responsibilities
Full-cycle accounting and month-end close across three revenue lines: recurring managed-services revenue, project-based professional services, and product resale
Recurring and deferred revenue mechanics - reconciling agreement billing between ConnectWise (PSA) and QuickBooks (GL), and keeping deferred revenue accurate for prepaid and annual agreements
Billing oversight across recurring agreements, projects, and product invoicing, including margin and COGS accuracy on resale
AP, AR, collections, and cash flow management
Payroll processing and reconciliation
Multi-state tax compliance on two fronts: sales and use tax driven by product resale nexus, and payroll/employment tax obligations across the multiple states where our employees are based
Financial controls, year-end close, and coordination with our outside CPA
Manage and develop a small finance/accounting team
Budgeting and forecasting
Budget-to-actual variance analysis
Scenario modeling and analysis to inform pricing, hiring, and agreement-renewal decisions
Cash flow forecasting and runway planning
KPI and financial-metrics ownership; building the reporting leadership uses to run the business
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management or accounting, with at least 4 years in a supervisory role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, multi-state tax compliance, and reporting standards.
Proficiency with Quickbooks Online.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience in an MSP, TSP, IT services, or similar recurring-revenue services business
Familiarity with ConnectWise or a comparable PSA
