POSITION OVERVIEW

The Controls Engineer II will develop, deploy, and improve Gentex automated manufacturing systems.

Location: This position requires on-site work at a Gentex facility. This role is not eligible for remote work.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• •Provide professional, expert-like support for new and existing automated systems.
• •Monitor and define areas of improvement within existing automated equipment.
• •Develop PLC programs and software for new and existing equipment.
• •Create electrical and pneumatic schematics.
• •Evaluate and specify hardware and software for automated equipment.
• •Work with other Engineers to standardize automated and programming solutions across similar equipment.
• •Support engineering team members in the development of new processes for manufacturing.
• •Educate and train production support teams during equipment or software launch.
• •Research and develop new solutions for automated equipment.
• •Other duties as assigned.

WHAT TO BRING

• •4-year Engineering degree, or combination of education and equivalent controls engineering experience.
• •At least 3 years of experience designing, programming or integrating automated equipment.
• •Experience with robotics applications.
• •Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

This role will primarily support Large Area Device manufacturing at both the North Riley Campus and State Street.
