Controls Technician - Food Manufacturing

Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for an Controls Technician – Food Manufacturing - Weekends (Friday-Sunday) at our New Hope, MN pasta production facility. We are offering a salary of $36.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• •Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, instrumentation, and industrial control systems.
• •Support automation systems across production, packaging, and material handling equipment.
• •Diagnose and resolve electrical and controls-related issues to minimize downtime.
• •Perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities.· Maintain PLC and HMI program backups and documentation.
• •Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement projects.

Required Qualifications

• •High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• •Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Automation Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• •Minimum 3 years of controls, automation, or industrial electrical experience.
• •Experience troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial automation systems.
• •Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• •Leadership or team lead experience.
• •Strong communication skills.
• •Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and food manufacturing systems.
• •Food manufacturing experience.· Allen-Bradley PLC and FactoryTalk experience.· Knowledge of industrial networking systems.

Physical Requirements

• •Lift up to 50 lbs.
• •Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
• •Work in hot, humid, cold, and dusty environments.
• •Climb ladders and work from lifts at heights up to 35+ feet.
• •Perform repetitive grasping, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.
