Saint Anselm College, a private, liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition, is seeking a Coordinator, Clinical Placements and Partnerships for the Jean School of Nursing and Health Sciences. This position coordinates clinical placements, experiential learning internships, and related activities for faculty and students across the Jean School of Nursing and Health Sciences. The Coordinator develops and maintains strong partnerships with healthcare and public health organizations to support high-quality student learning experiences. The position also collaborates closely with the Jean School Dean and Program Directors to assist with programmatic, operational and administrative activities in support of Jean School programs. The Coordinator, Clinical Placements and Partnerships is a 12-month calendar year position and reports directly to the Dean of the Jean School.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Rotation Assignments and Placements
- Coordinate clinical rotations, specialty experiences, observations, and undergraduate preceptorships across fall, winter, spring, and summer semesters.
- Coordinate student and faculty onboarding requirements for clinical placements, including health, safety, facility, EMR, and other site-specific requirements.
- Communicate clinical expectations and onboarding responsibilities to students and faculty.
Undergraduate Preceptorship Placements
- Coordinate the undergraduate preceptorship application and placement process, including presentations, application timelines, resume and cover letter preparation, student advising, and placement submissions.
- Develop and maintain placement tracking systems and submit required documentation through the Centralized Clinical Placement (CCP) system and to external clinical partners.
- Ensure compliance with applicable state Board of Nursing requirements.
- Communicate placement assignments, deadlines, documentation, and onboarding requirements to students.
Experiential Learning Internships
Coordinate student experiential learning experiences with the Community & Public Health Program Director
- Submit required documentation through the Centralized Clinical Placement (CCP) system and to external partners.
- Ensure compliance with applicable institutional partner requirements.
- Communicate placement assignments, deadlines, documentation, and onboarding requirements to students.
Health Requirements and Compliance
- Coordinate and monitor student compliance with drug screening, background checks, immunizations, BLS certification, FIT testing, and other clinical requirements.
- Maintain and monitor student compliance through CastleBranch and ensure accurate documentation of exemptions and required health records.
- Update health and immunization requirements in accordance with current CDC recommendations and facility requirements.
- Serve as a resource for students regarding health, immunization, and clinical compliance requirements.
- Coordinate onboarding and compliance requirements for Health Sciences internship students as assigned.
Healthcare Partnerships and Affiliation Agreements
- Develop, establish, and maintain relationships with healthcare and public health organizations that provide clinical and internship experiences.
- Serve as the Jean School of Nursing and Health Sciences liaison to clinical partners and healthcare agencies.
- Initiate and coordinate affiliation agreements and contracts in collaboration with the Director.
- Seek new clinical opportunities and represent the nursing program at regional nursing and clinical placement meetings.
Centralized Clinical Placement (CCP)
- Manage the Jean School's CCP account, including requesting, renewing, and updating clinical and preceptorship placements.
- Maintain accurate faculty, student, clinical site, schedule, and placement information within CCP and for non-CCP sites.
- Participate in regional CCP meetings and coordinate the annual CCP agreement.
Student Support and Program Administration
- Collaborate with students, faculty, Health Services, Accessibility Resource Center, Athletics, Registrar, Career Development, and other College departments to address clinical placement, accommodation, and student support needs.
- Coordinate modified or alternative clinical placements in collaboration with appropriate College personnel and healthcare organizations.
- Assist with adjunct faculty and staff recruitment and onboarding activities.
- Respond to student, faculty, and healthcare organization inquiries and assist the Dean and Program Directors with additional programmatic and administrative responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; degree in nursing, healthcare, education, business, or a related field is desirable.
- Prior experience coordinating clinical, internship, or experiential learning placements required.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office; willingness and ability to learn and utilize additional technologies, including Centralized Clinical Placement (CCP), CastleBranch, and Canvas.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with student affiliation agreements, healthcare partnerships, and contract processes preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with students, faculty, healthcare partners, and internal College departments.
