Summary

Responsible for accurately processing citations and other court documents through the Municipal justice system from initial contact through finalization.

Pay Range: (Depending on qualifications and experience)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to the public including explaining legal filing processes, calendaring procedures, fees, fines, jury service rules, etc.
  • Obtain, process, and review legal documents for completeness and conformity to legal requirements and manage related record keeping.
  • Schedule court appearances and hearings and update court calendars, ensuring case files are complete before and after court proceedings.
  • Prepare and issue writs, warrants, and other official court documents as needed.
  • Process payments, including filing fees, cash bonds, fines, and account payments.
  • Update automated case records with rulings and payment information.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6 months to 1 year of advanced training beyond high school.
  • 2 years of related experience in a court environment or law enforcement agency or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Class C Texas driver's license.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

The work environment is a typical office setting, free from unpleasant conditions or hazards.
