Chevron Malaysia Limited (CML) is accepting online applications for the position of Credit Supervisor located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia through October 16, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (Malaysia Time).

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

Responsible for two (2) direct reports performing credit and receivables management functions. Provides coaching, mentoring and guidance, conducts performance reviews and career development discussions. Works with the business unit to support achievement of business targets while ensuring company credit risks are mitigated.

  • Credit Risk Analysis:
  • > Review and approve (within delegated credit authority) Credit Analysts' financial analysis and recommendations to ensure appropriate customer lines of credit are provided. Recommendations for credit line approvals include analysis of trends and business rationale. Obtain detailed understanding of financial statements and associated notes and implications on customer credit worthiness. Detailed analysis also include industry comparisons, trends and projections, internet research, credit reports, EDF and other credit risk assessment measures. Reviews periodic data to proactively evaluate changes to customer financial condition.
  • Managing Collateral:
  • > Work closely with Sales/BU personnel in securing and managing collaterals from customers. Collateral instruments include bank letters of credit (SBLC and Doc LC), Bank Guarantees, prepayments or cash bond, and corporate parental guarantee.
  • Exposure Monitoring:
  • > Ensures credit limit and exposure data integrity and consistency between systems and compliance with SOX requirements. Manage and limit customer credit exposure especially those with credit violations. This includes initiating credit holds (suspension of product delivery) until collateral or payment is received. Develop collection strategies to minimize financial losses arising from non-collection of receivables. Coordinate with BU, legal and embedded Finance on actions to be taken on uncollectible accounts.
  • Reviewing Contracts as needed:
  • > Require a good understanding of sales/supply contracts, including general terms and conditions. Develop and recommend credit language as they relate to credit protection measures for Legal to consider and formalize. Negotiates basic contract credit terms with sales/BU personnel with support from Legal Counsel. Build familiarity with netting agreements, buy/sell arrangements, retail and commercial fuel supply agreements, etc.

Accounts Receivable Accounting:

> Directs, oversees, and coordinates the activities of the Accounts Receivable Analysts which include Credit Management Reporting, Accounts Reconciliations, Month-end close activities, Unallocated credits (UAC) clearing, Identification, research and resolution of issues or discrepancies in coordination with Business Units, Credit Analysts, embedded Finance and other support teams.

Work schedule for this position must meet operational needs. The position holder will be required to accommodate flexible work hours in alignment with BU’s regular work hours.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy with at least 5 years of overall work experience.
  • Fluency in English
  • Proficient in MS Office and SAP system
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, teamwork and customer engagement skills
  • Must have the propensity to work in a proactive, results-oriented, and customer-focused environment

Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
