Customs Product Manager, Israel

We are looking for a Customs Product Manager, Israel to manage the country’s Customs business, with end-to-end accountability for P&L performance, commercial growth, and operational and service excellence. As the Senior for Customs in Israel, you will balance P&L responsibilities, customer-facing commercial partnership with hands on operational excellence while intentionally shaping a high-performance culture and directing with care.

The role is based in our Ashdod office and requires regular office presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the country P&L for Maersk Customs, budgeting and financial planning process.
  • Develop and execute the Israel Customs (import & export) go-to-market plan in alignment with key internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee customs brokerage operations across Israel, including financial operations activities.
  • Accelerate commercial growth in close partnership with sales leadership.
  • Strengthen customer relationships to enhance retention and satisfaction.
  • Ensure consistent, compliant, and high-quality service delivery across all operations.
  • Improve productivity, cost-to-serve, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Manage high-number of team members, including leader of leaders. Proactively handle capacity planning and workload allocation.
  • Foster a high-performance culture; drive performance management across teams, including objective setting, performance reviews, and compensation processes.
  • Monitor service performance and reinforce accountability for achieving key performance indicators.
  • Champion operational excellence and productivity initiatives, while serving as the senior point of contact for customs delivery matters.

We are looking for

  • Strong knowledge of the Israeli customs market, practices, and relevant legislation. Appr. 10 years of relevant professional experience would be an advantage.
  • Experience in import and export activities and/or freight forwarding within the Israeli market.
  • Proven people management experience; experience of “leader of leaders” is an advantage.
  • Sound P&L management expertise, including managing financial performance, optimizing profitability, and identifying revenue growth opportunities.
  • A strategic, long-term business mindset and the ability to identify opportunities to develop and grow the Customs business.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with a collaborative approach across commercial and operational functions.
  • A hands-on focus on operational performance, balanced with a broad commercial and strategic perspective.
