Job Description:

Greif is seeking a motivated Data Analytics Intern to join our Data Team in Chennai. This six-month internship offers an opportunity to learn and contribute across multiple areas, including data engineering, analytics, master data governance, and artificial intelligence.

The intern will work alongside experienced team members on real-world data initiatives and gain exposure to modern data platforms, tools, and business applications. Based on performance and business needs, the internship may lead to a full-time position with Greif.

Key Responsibilities

• •Assist with building, testing, and maintaining data pipelines and integrations.
• •Support data analysis, reporting, dashboard development, and visualization.
• •Help improve data quality through profiling, validation, cleansing, and issue resolution.
• •Contribute to data governance activities, including metadata management, data lineage, business glossaries, and documentation.
• •Support the development and testing of AI solutions, including AI agents, generative AI use cases, and process automation.
• •Collaborate with Data Team members and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions.
• •Document technical processes, findings, and recommendations.
• •Participate in team meetings, demonstrations, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Education and Experience

• •Four-year bachelor’s degree completed or nearing completion in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• •Foundational knowledge of databases, SQL, data analysis, programming, or AI concepts.
• •Exposure to one or more of these would be beneficial: Python, Data visualization tools such as Power BI, Cloud data platforms and data engineering concepts, Machine learning, Gen AI.
• •Must be based in or near Chennai and able to work on-site at the Greif Chennai office.

• •Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and business processes.
• •Good written and verbal communication skills.
• •Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
