Job Description:
Customer Solution Centers are made up of teams that provide remote (offsite) service; customer access, pre-sales, post-sales, and service delivery. As a Level 2 System Administrator within the Bulgarian ITOC, your technical focus is to solve complex business systems and application problems for customers, acting as a critical escalation point for Level 1 support personnel.
You will apply developed subject matter knowledge to mitigate live infrastructure issues as they occur, solving problems of diverse complexity and scope. You will exercise independent judgment to identify and implement robust infrastructure solutions, taking the lead on daily operations and advanced configurations across our diverse Windows and hybrid-cloud ecosystem.
How you will make your mark:
Serve as the primary escalation point for complex Windows Server and virtualization-related incidents, providing expert technical support to customers and Level 1 engineers.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file services, clustering, and virtualization platforms.
Investigate performance, availability, and stability issues affecting virtual machines, hypervisors, and supporting infrastructure.
Take ownership of critical incidents from identification through resolution, ensuring minimal customer impact and timely communication.
Collaborate with customers and internal teams to proactively identify risks and implement improvements that enhance system reliability and operational efficiency.
Lead technical troubleshooting efforts during major incidents and contribute to root cause analysis and preventive action planning.
Drive continuous improvement by documenting solutions, creating knowledge articles, and sharing best practices with colleagues.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to help grow team expertise.
Participate in infrastructure projects, migrations, upgrades, and platform modernization initiatives.
Contribute to process improvements and automation opportunities using PowerShell and other administration tools.
Work within ITIL-based service management processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Knowledge Management.
Build trusted relationships with customers through clear communication and a strong focus on service excellence.
Partner with architects, engineering teams, and project stakeholders to deliver successful customer outcomes.
About you:
3+ years of experience supporting enterprise Windows Server environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently diagnose and resolve technical issues.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience working in customer-facing technical support or managed services environments.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
Passion for learning new technologies and continuously developing technical expertise.
Experience mentoring colleagues and contributing to team knowledge sharing is highly valued.
Hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting Microsoft technologies including:
Windows Server
Active Directory
DNS and DHCP
Group Policy
File and Print Services
Microsoft Failover Clustering
Experience with one or more virtualization platforms:
VMware vSphere
Microsoft Hyper-V
Azure VMware Solution
Nutanix (nice to have)
Familiarity with HPE technologies such as:
HPE ProLiant
HPE Synergy
HPE OneView
Integrated Lights-Out (iLO)
Strong understanding of virtualization concepts including virtual machine lifecycle management, storage, networking, high availability, and disaster recovery.
Experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments spanning on-premises and cloud platforms.
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure infrastructure services is considered an advantage.
Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation is highly desirable.
Relevant Microsoft, VMware, Azure, or other infrastructure certifications are considered a plus
Support and troubleshoot enterprise server infrastructure, including compute, memory, storage, RAID controllers, network adapters, and firmware components.
Diagnose hardware, performance, and availability issues using system diagnostics, health monitoring tools, event logs, and firmware analysis to identify root causes and drive resolution.
Manage and support HPE server platforms and infrastructure technologies, ensuring reliability, performance, and operational stability across customer environments.
Collaborate with engineering, field service, and vendor teams to coordinate hardware repairs, firmware upgrades, maintenance activities, and infrastructure improvements.
Provide technical expertise across the physical infrastructure stack, supporting seamless integration between servers, storage, networking, virtualization platforms, and business-critical workloads.
