Matthews Family Dentistry is currently seeking a Dental Assistant for accelerated Hygiene to join our growing practice. We are looking for a motivated, patient-focused professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

Preferred Qualifications:

• •Minimum 1 year of active dental assisting experience
• •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• •Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• •Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• •Experience supporting dental hygienists preferred
• •Knowledge of dental software and digital radiography is a plus

Job Responsibilities

As a Dental Assistant for accelerated Hygiene, you will play an important role in supporting our hygienist and ensuring a smooth, efficient patient experience. Responsibilities include:

• •Assist hygienist during patient care and periodontal procedures
• •Preparing treatment rooms before and after patient appointments
• •Sterilizing and maintaining dental instruments and equipment
• •Take dental radiographs (X-rays)
• •Reviewing medical histories and updating patient records
• •Providing patient education on oral hygiene and preventive care
• •Maintaining inventory and stocking hygiene treatment rooms
• •Ensuring compliance with infection control and OSHA guidelines
• •Take impressions, scans, or intra oral photos
• •Schedule recall and follow up appointments
• •Confirm treatment plans and patient understanding
