About the Role

As a Deployment Strategist, you'll join a team of Engineers, Product Designers, and fellow Strategists deploying our AI against healthcare's most important problems.

Your mission: synthesize disconnected inputs—the core problem, the data, the product, user motivations, and potential impact—into a clear path forward. You'll immerse yourself in customers' most intricate life sciences workflows, splitting time between multiple days per week onsite at client locations and working from our Menlo Park office, bringing curiosity, analytical rigor, sharp product intuition, and strong user insight to help customers improve decisions and patient outcomes.

Beyond initial deployment, you'll own long-term account success— part customer success manager, part strategist —serving as the primary relationship owner driving adoption, retention, renewal, and expansion. This role is dedicated to life sciences (MedTech, medical devices, biotech, pharma), and you'll become fluent in how these organizations operate—from R&D and clinical development through commercialization, manufacturing, regulatory affairs, and post-market engagement—tailoring every deployment to a highly regulated, scientifically rigorous industry.

What You'll Do

Deployment & Delivery

Go onsite with client leaders and teams to uncover key problems, workflows, and bottlenecks, then own the full deployment lifecycle—design, configuration, rollout, and optimization—alongside Forward Deployed Engineers.

Build and train new user groups on customized workflows across patient services, clinical operations, contact centers, and HCP enablement.

Track deployment performance and ROI, turning data into recommendations and demos/presentations for audiences from Directors to C-suite.

Embed with Product and Engineering to feed field insights into the broader roadmap.

Account & Relationship Management

Act as trusted advisor and customer success owner for life sciences accounts—building executive relationships, running QBRs, and driving adoption, retention, renewals, and expansion.

Define success metrics tied to each customer's goals and proactively flag renewal risks.

Life Sciences Expertise

Tailor deployments to sector use cases (MedTech, biotech, pharma) like patient/HCP engagement, trial recruitment, adherence, and device onboarding.

Partner with regulatory, quality, and compliance teams to meet standards (GxP, HIPAA, FDA, EMA), and represent life sciences needs back to Product/Engineering.

Location and Travel

We believe the best ideas happen together. To support fast collaboration and a strong team culture, this role is expected to be in our Menlo Park office five days a week.

Travel Requirement for this role is anywhere from 25 - 40%.

What You Bring

Must Have

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.

4+ years in life sciences consulting or customer-facing strategy and implementation, leading complex engagements in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

Strong analytical skills, comfortable using data and metrics to drive decisions, with experience in tools like Python, R, SQL, or Excel.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management across diverse audiences (clinical staff, IT, executives), with the autonomy to operate in client-embedded settings.

Ability to travel 25–40%, including overnight and out-of-state trips.

Generalist or subject-matter expertise in a life sciences area (clinical trials, patient services, HCP enablement, med devices, etc.).

Customer-success mindset—owning adoption, retention, and account health—paired with the strategic and technical depth to drive complex deployments.

Nice-to-Have

Familiarity with life sciences data standards, workflows, and regulatory frameworks (GxP, GCP, 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, FDA/EMA submissions, pharmacovigilance).

Background at forward-deployed or top life sciences consulting firms, with experience deploying/scaling AI, ML, or enterprise SaaS.

Startup experience and comfort building from scratch.

Prior customer success or account management experience, ideally owning a book of enterprise accounts.

Experience presenting outcomes at conferences or executive forums.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means effectively managing client accounts: partnering with clients and internal engineering teams to deploy on time, successfully increasing adoption, and then scaling the program from a single use case to many.

This breaks down into two things:

Execution success

Managing the client relationship so deployment stays on track.

Coordinating closely with internal engineering to resolve blockers before they slip timelines.

Hitting go-live dates with a strong quality mindset.

Strategic success

Helping clients navigate the internal change management needed to actually adopt the solution.

Turning a single successful use case into a multi-use-case program.

Acting as the connective tissue between client goals and internal execution, so scaling feels like a natural next step rather than a renegotiation.
