Summary

Duties
- You will assist the Weapons Officer in directing, integrating, evaluating, and sustaining Weapons Department programs, personnel, resources, and operations.
- You will assist in directing a department that implements major management programs, specialized weapons programs, missile assembly, maintenance, technical operations, and waterfront operations.
- You will manage the development, implementation, integration, and continuing effectiveness of Weapons Department production, maintenance, technical, workforce, and operational programs.
- You will ensure planning/scheduling comply with nuclear weapons production, safety, security, quality, technical, and operational requirements and will coordinate planning with SSP, contractors, supported commands, and other command activities.
- You will direct the development, implementation, improvement, and integration of department management systems, policies, procedures, work controls, and performance measures.
- You will direct department manpower, position management, workforce qualification, and personnel programs to support current and projected mission requirements.
- You will provide critical production, technical, configuration, accountability, and operational information required to support specialized strategic weapons programs unique to SWFLANT.
- You will direct and integrate production changes, workforce actions, resource, facility, equipment, and infrastructure requirements supporting Nuclear Weapons Security activation and sustainment.
- You will represents the Weapons Department and, when designated, command leadership at high level meetings, conferences, planning forums, committees, panels, and other events involving SSP, headquarters organizations, supported commands, contractors,
- You will make or recommend changes in the organization of work to respond to changing workload, emergent requirements, mission priorities, workforce constraints, and resource limitations.
- You will serve as a senior advisor/designated approver for Weapons Department production, maintenance, technical, waterfront, and emergency preparedness operations conducted within SWFLANT areas of responsibility/other assigned operating locations.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: supervising, evaluating, maintaining, producing, or integrating complex ordnance, production, or maintenance operations. Qualifying experience includes applying ordnance program requirements such as security standards, handling procedures, or emergency-response measures; coordinating contractor, facility, resource, or operational support; and leading, developing, or evaluating a technical civilian workforce.
