As a Mechanic - Pump (Service Tech II) within the Fluid division at United Rentals, you’ll use your skills to perform maintenance tasks as well as minor repairs on equipment in a safe and professional manner. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of pumps. Every day, you can improve and challenge yourself, and if you have the desire and ambition, you’ll have the potential to work towards higher level Tech roles in our Service Department. Like every member of our team, we will rely on you to provide exceptional customer service to our customers.

What you'll do:

Perform service documentation

Train lower level Technicians

Demonstrate equipment for customers

Travel to customer sites

Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent

3-5 years of experience with repairing and maintaining pumps of various sizes, capacities and manufacturers

Knowledge of construction equipment

Strong mechanical background knowledge particularly with various engines

Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams

Own the tools applicable to position

Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills

Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

As a Power HVAC Mechanic (Service Tech II) within the Power/HVAC division at United Rentals, you’ll use your skills to perform maintenance tasks as well as minor repairs on equipment in a safe and professional manner. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel engines, HVAC equipment, and dehumidification/air purification equipment. What you'll do:

Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools

Responsible for service documentation

Occasional travel to customer sites

Demonstrate equipment for customers

Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts

Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent

1-2 years of experience with repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment

Intermediate diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and other systems

Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams

What you'll do:

Perform maintenance check on rental equipment before and after use

Report machine condition to Management

Perform routine repairs on Tools with some supervision

Perform major repairs under direct supervision of higher level service technicians

Recognize and communicate the need for parts and inventory

Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily/job basis

Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts

Checkout, familiarize, and demonstrate a wider array of more complex Tools for customers

Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent

1-2 years of experience repairing/maintaining Specialty Tools and equipment; or trade school graduate

Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools

Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams

Basic knowledge of diagnostic equipment

Must own tools applicable to position

Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills

Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Rendre compte de l’état des machines à la direction

Effectuer des réparations de routine sur les outils sous supervision partielle

Effectuer des réparations importantes sous la supervision directe de techniciens de service de niveau supérieur

Identifier et signaler les besoins en pièces détachées et en stock

Tenir à jour la documentation papier et électronique relative aux travaux effectués (bons de travail) de manière exhaustive et dans les délais, quotidiennement et pour chaque intervention

Participer à l’enlèvement et à la livraison des équipements et des pièces

Prêter, familiariser les clients avec et leur faire une démonstration d’une gamme plus large d’outils plus complexes

Effectuer d’autres tâches qui vous seront confiées selon les besoins

Exigences :

Baccalauréat ou équivalent

1 à 2 ans d’expérience dans la réparation et l’entretien d’outils et d’équipements spécialisés ; ou diplôme d’une école professionnelle

Aptitudes mécaniques avérées et connaissance pratique des outils

Compréhension de base des schémas et des diagrammes

Connaissances de base des équipements de diagnostic

Possession des outils nécessaires à l’exercice de la fonction

Permis de conduire valide avec un dossier de conduite satisfaisant

Excellentes compétences en matière de service client, de travail d’équipe et de communication orale et écrite

Capacité à soulever fréquemment des objets pesant jusqu’à 45 lbs.
