About the role

Cochlear is helping people hear, and be heard, all over the world. In this role, you will be based in our Americas head office in Lone Tree, CO.

This role is hybrid, requiring you to be in the office 3 days per week minimum, with 2 days per week working from home.

Key Responsibilities

The Director, Cochlear Product Management & Marketing position on the North American region (CAM) Team is responsible for managing a strategic product portfolio designed to treat indicated hearing loss by product. Responsibilities are inclusive of gathering and prioritizing launch requirements, defining and executing the go to market strategy for the product commercialization and sustaining a portfolio of solutions, managing budgets and collaborating cross functionally with other leaders from marketing, sales, engineering and operations.

This role is responsible for leveraging strategic insights with market evidence to drive the development of positioning and messaging that resonates with Cochlear’s customers and empowers our sales channels to be successful. Through collaboration with Marketing, Recipient Services and Sales, this role will develop innovative programs that drive new demand and upgrades. This role is responsible for ensuring the business goals are met for the product introduction and product line family within multiple Cochlear portfolios of hearing solutions as well as presenting Cochlear’s product’s value proposition in a way that resonates and clearly articulates how we solve our customer’s problems.

Strategic Planning and Execution: Responsible to build and deliver annual product plan, product launch plans for new product introductions, industry focused campaigns to awareness and access to technology and sustaining plans as required to achieve our business goals. These plans will account for the entire portfolio working including Cochlear Implants and Acoustics and consult with Connected Care products and services to ensure clarity and positioning of this new solution to maximize market growth. This role will be responsible for leading the cross functional launch team and overseeing the deliverables across multiple workstreams.

Team Management and Talent Development: This role will directly supervise product managers for the Nucleus and Acoustics portfolio ensuring that projects are efficiently and effectively executed on time, within scope and on budget. This role is responsible for providing leadership and direction to staff with an emphasis on talent development, teamwork, and job satisfaction; conducting bi-annual evaluations and development planning as per company guidelines and processes; lead recruitment, hiring, staffing, and disciplinary management.

Customer Insights: This leader will need to engage extensively with consumers and professional partners in order to gain first hand insight on the customers’ and market feedback on the bone conduction product. These insights are translated into a narrative that provides a clear understanding of the current and future market direction, needs, and potential receptivity of the product portfolio and the new product.

Collaboration: This role is cross-functional and must liaise with other functions across the organization regionally and globally. Collaboration leads to clear and efficient product positioning, product planning, prioritization, clinical evidence, regulatory pathways, reimbursement support, servicing, selling and an overall agile product launch process. This leader will partner with sales and finance leaders to build forecast/demand planning as well as support strategies including sales tools, playbooks and organization structure to meet the business goals.

Product Line Lifecycle Management: This leader will define product lifecycle requirements, obsolesce planning and execution to support the region’s needs.

Product Evangelism: This leader will be representing the business and promoting the product by advocating for its value and benefits at executive briefings, sales meetings, marketing events, consumer platforms, tradeshows and professional platforms and so forth

Key Requirements

  • Content Strategy Development: Facilitates cross-functional collaboration to craft a sophisticated content strategy driven by customer insight, using advanced storytelling to produce highly engaging, personalized, and effective content that drives significant business outcomes and brand loyalty.
  • Content Governance: Provides strategic oversight and leads to the production of a consistent content governance framework, developing advanced collaboration workflows, rigorous quality assurance processes, regulatory compliance, and identifies AI/Digital opportunities for scale.
  • Content Delivery: Orchestrates advanced content deployment strategies with a focus on real-time optimization, leveraging sophisticated analytics and automation tools to enhance content effectiveness, improve personalization and drive business outcomes.
  • Integrated Marketing Campaigns: Orchestrates cross-functional and omni-channel campaigns, employing data-driven insights and strategic alignment to deliver a unified and highly effective marketing strategy that drives results.
  • Channel Management: Leads the development of advanced channel management strategies cross-functionally, considering channel economics and leveraging comprehensive data analytics to optimize channel performance, drive significant ROI, and align with broader marketing objectives.
  • Content Personalization: Delivers highly personalized and dynamic content / experiences in real-time, seeking opportunities to leverage advanced data analytics and machine learning to optimize engagement, course correct and drive conversion.
  • Marketing Performance Management: Defines metrics and implements performance measurement frameworks, leveraging analytics and real-time data to provide deep insights, optimize marketing strategies, and guide strategic decision-making.

Total Rewards

Pay Range in the United States: $180,000 - $190,000 based upon experience, as well as an annual bonus opportunity of 20% of base salary. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
