About the Role

The Director of FP&A owns financial planning, forecasting and analysis across Gravitics. You will be the CFO's strategic partner and the finance lead for engineering, manufacturing and program leadership. You will translate technical and operational plans into financial decisions: where to invest, what a program really costs, and how much runway each milestone buys us.

You will build and mature the FP&A function as the company grows, including the team, the models and the operating cadence.

Responsibilities

Planning and forecasting

Lead the annual operating plan, rolling forecasts and long-range strategic plan, aligned to program milestones and company goals

Own the five-year plan

Assist with Board decks and presentations for IR

Build and maintain integrated financial models covering P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, headcount and capital expenditure

Run scenario and sensitivity analysis on schedule, cost, contract awards and funding to support executive decisions

Program and manufacturing finance

Partner with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and program management to model unit economics, production costs, margins, capacity and capital needs

Track program budgets, cost-to-complete and estimate-at-completion, and flag risk early with clear recommendations

Support pricing, bid and proposal financials for commercial and U.S. Government opportunities

Executive and investor reporting

Deliver monthly and quarterly performance reporting, variance analysis and KPI dashboards to the CFO, executive team and Board

Support fundraising, investor updates and financial due diligence, working with the CFO on the financial narrative and data room

Provide decision-ready analysis on build-vs-buy, make-vs-outsource, and major investments

Systems, process and team

Build scalable planning processes, tools and controls as the company grows

Work closely with Accounting on close, revenue recognition, cost accounting and government contract compliance

Hire, lead and develop a high-performing FP&A team

About You

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related quantitative field

10+ years of progressive FP&A experience, including 3+ years leading teams or functions

Experience in aerospace, space, defense or advanced hardware manufacturing

Advanced financial modeling skills and strong command of Excel and modern planning tools

Experience with program or project cost tracking and long-cycle, milestone-based revenue

Ability to communicate complex financial insight clearly to executives, engineers and investors

Preferred

MBA, CPA or CFA

Experience with U.S. Government contracting (FAR/DFARS, cost accounting standards, indirect rate structures, earned value management)

Experience in a venture-backed or high-growth company, including fundraising and diligence support

Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP, and platforms such as Adaptive, Anaplan or Pigment

Prior experience scaling an FP&A function from early stage to growth stage

Your level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the considerations of job-related knowledge and skills, education, and direct experience. Salary Range

$150,000 — $215,000 USD
