We are looking for an insurance professional with strong product, governance, and regulatory experience, who is highly detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable owning complex initiatives end to end.
The Director, Product Delivery & Governance is responsible for providing strategic leadership over product implementation, product governance, Day 2 product management and ensure products are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and in alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate is an effective cross-functional collaborator and communicator, able to balance commercial needs with robust risk management and regulatory compliance.
Position Responsibilities:
Act as a Product Owner or Delivery Lead for the implementation of various product initiatives across the product lifecycle by partnering closely with cross-functional teams. Deliver training and briefing sessions to internal stakeholder if necessary.
Ensure delivery capacity, prioritization, and execution are aligned with business growth objectives.
Drive execution excellence through disciplined planning, governance, and stakeholder management.
Establish and own the enterprise product delivery strategy and operating model. Champion agile and modern delivery practices to improve speed, quality, and predictability.
Own the development of user requirements and partners up with IT BA/IT PM to deliver on the system changes to support the delivery of the product initiative
- Provides insights into product delivery, technology and market trends.
- Effectively communicates desired outcomes based on the agreed product roadmap·
- Focus on risk management, work with legal and compliance departments to obtain necessary approvals and support, while ensuring material meets regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in finance, marketing, business, or related field
- 10+ years relevant insurance experience and a strong track record in project delivery and execution
- In-depth knowledge of financial services and industry practices
- Solution Focused: exemplary problem solving and innovative Mindset
- Influence and Persuasion: drive and influence change
- Compelling Communication: strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills; business case development and delivery
- Collaboration: strong client and relationship management skills
- Strong mentoring, coaching, and consulting skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence others beyond formal authority both inside and outside of the organization
- Financial understanding of product profitability
- Advanced project management, problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong leadership capabilities applied within team settings and with individual contributors
- Thorough knowledge of compliance standards and practices
- An entrepreneurial spirit and comfort working within in rapidly changing environment
