Driver Manager

The Driver Manager is responsible for leading transportation and driver operations while ensuring full compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards. This role oversees company-owned and leased equipment, driver performance, yard and terminal operations, and coordination with internal and external partners to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective delivery of goods. The Driver Manager plays a critical role in maintaining regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and a high-performing driver workforce.

• •Experience managing outsourced lease and maintenance obligations

• •Ability to recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and develop drivers
• •Experience handling performance management, promotions, and corrective actions
• •Knowledge of payroll processing, employee reviews, and labor-related matters

• •Operational Efficiency & Cost Management
• •Ability to manage transportation costs while maintaining service quality
• •Experience improving logistics efficiency and operational workflows

• •Technology & Systems Proficiency
• •Proficiency with MS Office and transportation-related systems
• •Experience using ELD systems, video safety software, and other fleet management tools

Minimum Qualifications

• •Associate degree or equivalent experience
• •(10+ years of CDL or transportation experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)

• •Previous supervisory or management experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet operations
• •Demonstrated knowledge of DOT HOS rules and transportation regulations
• •Working knowledge of geographic service areas and route planning
• •Understanding of labor laws and company policy compliance

Physical Demands

• •Ability to work in a transportation and yard environment
• •May require walking yards, inspecting equipment, and interacting with drivers and vendors
