There are (4) positions available

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Provides emergency medical care to the sick and injured patients in the prehospital and hospital environment; effectively communicates with all persons and departments involved in the administration of emergency medical care.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• •Drives emergency vehicle. (20%)
• •Determines nature and extent of illness or injury; provide basic life support and transport to the critically ill and injured in the prehospital setting. (50%)
• •Completes required documentation according to regulatory standards. (15%)
• •Maintains equipment and inventory of supplies including BLS and ALS and has accountability for medications on every EMS unit per regulatory standards. (15%)
• •Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

• •High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• •PA EMT license or EMS Compact Privilege to Practice in Pennsylvania at the EMT level

Preferred

• •Six months’ experience in the field of prehospital care.
• •ITLS/PHTLS, ABLS, ASLS.

Additional Employment Requirements:

• •EMSVO within 30 days of hire
• •Valid Driver's License
• •CPR – American Heart Association
• •Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• •Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• •Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
