Who We Are Looking For

The Enterprise Data and AI Office is seeking an execution-oriented Enterprise Data Governance Solution Lead to help advance the firm’s enterprise Data Governance framework, standards, control capabilities, and technology-enabled solutions.

This role will focus on translating enterprise data governance policies, standards, regulatory expectations, and control requirements into scalable business processes, platform capabilities, and adoption practices across business and technology teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening enterprise capabilities for data governance platform capabilities, controls, measurement and reporting using the Collibra Platform and related technologies.

The ideal candidate combines Data Governance expertise, product management experience, and business analysis skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional delivery in a complex global enterprise environment.

Why this role is important to us

This position is part of the Enterprise Data Governance team within the Chief Data and AI Office. This is a key role to help drive implementation of data governance policies, standards, control frameworks, and operating models that align with industry standards, regulatory expectations, and the firm’s risk management objectives. Success in this role will be measured through effective implementation of sustainable data governance standards and effective data governance controls to mitigate data risk.

What you will be responsible for

Work with business and technology partners to understand how data is created, moves between systems, and is used in day-to-day operations.

Investigate discrepancies between system data and operational reality, identify root causes, and work with the right teams to resolve them.

Understand data models and flows well enough to explain issues and their business impact to technical and nontechnical audiences.

Translate data governance policies and control requirements into practical processes, tools, and guidance.

Document workflows and turn complex processes or business needs into clear requirements, instructions, and decisions.

Partner with delivery teams to define requirements, review solutions, validate results, and support adoption.

Analyze data quality results, metrics, and trends; explain what they mean and recommend where to focus effort.

Write concise materials for different audiences, including requirements, decision papers, management updates, and user guidance.

Bring people across teams together to work through issues, reach decisions, and put changes into practice.

Identify opportunities to simplify or automate manual processes and improve how governance work gets done.

Support regulatory and audit responses by organizing evidence, explaining the work completed, and tracking remaining actions.

What we value

These skills will help you succeed in this role

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the curiosity to ask good questions and follow an issue through to its cause.

Hands-on experience working with data, including using SQL or comparable tools to investigate issues, validate results, or answer practical questions.

The ability to understand data models and trace information across systems, then explain what the findings mean to business users.

Excellent writing skills and experience turning complicated workflows or technical findings into clear documentation and requirements.

Strong interpersonal skills: you can listen, build trust, explain issues clearly, and coordinate people across teams without relying on formal authority.

Sound judgment and the ability to turn broad goals or ambiguous requests into a clear plan and useful deliverables.

Experience improving a process or helping a team adopt a change.

Familiarity with data governance, metadata, lineage, controls, or financial services is welcome, but candidates may have built these core skills in other settings.

Experience with tools such as Collibra, JIRA, or Confluence is helpful; the ability to learn new tools matters more.

Education and preferred qualifications

  • Experience implementing enterprise data governance frameworks, data governance controls, or supporting technology solutions.
  • Experience with Collibra or similar data governance, metadata management, data catalog, or related platforms preferred.
  • Experience supporting BCBS 239, regulatory remediation, internal audit, risk management, or financial services governance initiatives preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Risk Management, Business/Finance, a related discipline, or equivalent experience required.

Salary Range:

$90,000 - $157,500 Annual
