Description

Do you enjoy working with your hands and creating things with precision and care?

Are you the kind of person who takes pride in detail — the kind who notices the little things others miss? If so, we’d like to meet you.

D&S Dental Laboratory is looking for a detail-oriented Dental Technician - Fixed Model Room to join our team in Waunakee, WI. In this role, you’ll create and prepare dental models from impressions for fixed prosthetics — pouring, trimming, and articulating models that form the foundation of every fixed case we fabricate.

Every restoration we deliver starts with the work you do. If you like seeing the real results of your craftsmanship every day, this position offers a rewarding opportunity.

What You’ll Do

As our Fixed Model Room Technician, you’ll help restore smiles by:

Reading and interpreting the prescription included with each case and preparing models to match doctors’ written orders and specifications

Pouring, trimming, sectioning, and articulating stone models from patient impressions with accuracy and consistency

Fabricating models of the mouth and teeth based on impressions taken by dental professionals

Following the daily case schedule and production goals to keep cases moving on time

Operating hand tools and lab equipment, including electric drills, lathes, presses, high-heat furnaces, sandblasters, grinders, and carvers

Collaborating with quality control specialists to uphold product standards and identify cases that need extra attention

Using supplies and equipment efficiently while keeping work areas and materials ready to go

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who enjoys hands-on, detailed work and takes ownership of what they produce.

You may be a great fit if you have experience in:

Dental laboratory work, particularly fixed prosthetics

Dental technology or a related healthcare field

Any trade or role requiring fine motor skills and precision handling of small tools and materials

You don’t need to be an expert in everything. We’re looking for someone with strong hand-eye coordination, a willingness to learn, and the consistency to produce accurate work in a fast-paced production environment.

Preferred

Previous experience in a dental laboratory environment, particularly in fixed prosthetics
