About this role
Join Emplify Health by Gundersen Hillsboro as an Environmental Assistant and help create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients, caregivers, and visitors. In this role, you will support daily operations through cleaning, waste disposal, and attention to detail. Your work helps advance our mission of empathy amplified by supporting excellent care in a setting where every role matters.
Key responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with health care team members to provide waste disposal and cleaning services.
- Help maintain facilities by planning, prioritizing, and organizing services while providing excellent customer service.
- Partner with department management to support professional and departmental goals.
- Demonstrate dependability, problem solving, teamwork, organization, and effective time management.
- Report incidents, maintenance concerns, housekeeping issues, and painting issues to the Environmental Services supervisor.
- Provide indirect patient care by cleaning patient care areas.
- Follow safety guidelines related to body mechanics, hazardous materials, and personal protective equipment.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
What you will need
- High school diploma or equivalency, required.
- No experience required.
- 1 year of healthcare Environmental Services experience preferred.
- Strong dependability, problem solving, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and use time effectively.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and excellent customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced health care environment.
