  • Leads resolution of high-impact, ambiguous, or cross-application incidents and problems; directs root-cause analysis, coordinates technical and operational responders, develops durable corrective actions, and communicates through closure.
  • Plans and leads large or highly complex application projects, upgrades, implementations, and optimization initiatives; establishes approach, scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, testing strategy, implementation readiness, and outcome measures.

  • Mentors and develops analysts, coordinates shared work, provides technical direction, and leads knowledge transfer, training, and support-readiness activities without requiring formal supervisory authority.
  • Evaluates emerging capabilities, regulatory and patient-safety requirements, operational performance, and user feedback to recommend enterprise improvements and sustainable Epic solutions.
  • Provides leadership with concise status, risk, dependency, budget or resource, and milestone reporting; participates in go-lives, upgrades, downtimes, and major-event support outside normal business hours.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Coordinate with Cadence (scheduling), Prelude and Grand Central (registration and patient movement), Resolute (billing), ASAP (ED), and ClinDoc/Orders teams so imaging workflows work end to end.
  • Maintain imaging charge build and charge capture accuracy with Revenue Cycle and the chargemaster team.
  • Troubleshoot order, result, and image-availability issues across systems.
  • Implementation, Testing, and Go-Live Support
  • Take part in workflow design sessions with radiologists, technologists, schedulers, and imaging leaders, and turn their decisions into build.
  • Write and run unit, application, and integrated test scripts, and document and resolve defects.
  • Support training development, dress rehearsals, cutover activities, and at-the-elbow support for go-live and stabilization.
  • Keep build documentation, design decisions, and workflow diagrams up to date.
  • Production Support and Optimization
  • Resolve Radiant incidents and service requests within service level targets, and take part in the on-call rotation.
  • Analyze workflows and reporting data, such as turnaround times, exam volumes, and worklist backlogs, to find improvement opportunities.
  • Evaluate, test, and implement Epic upgrades, new features, and Nova release notes that affect imaging.
  • Build and maintain Radiant reports, dashboards, and Reporting Workbench templates for imaging leaders.
  • Governance, Compliance, and Stakeholder Partnership
  • Support imaging governance by preparing change requests, presenting build options, and documenting decisions.
  • Help make sure workflows support regulatory and accreditation requirements, such as MQSA for mammography, ACR accreditation, and Joint Commission standards.
  • Follow change control, security, and HIPAA requirements for all build and access changes.
  • Act as a trusted liaison between IT and the imaging departments across AHC facilities.
  • Qualifications include:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in healthcare, information systems, business, or a related field. Relevant experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis. Advanced education is preferred.
  • 7-8 years of direct clinical, healthcare operations, clinical information systems, application support, or related experience, including substantial experience leading complex implementations, upgrades, optimization, or production support in an integrated EHR environment. Epic experience is preferred.
  • No formal supervisory experience required. Demonstrated experience leading large workstreams, directing cross-functional teams, and mentoring analysts is required.
  • Epic certification in the assigned application(s) is required or must be obtained within the timeframe established by AHC and maintained thereafter. Current clinical licensure is preferred when relevant to the assigned application.
