We are currently looking for a Finance Systems Administrator to join our team
Purpose of the Role
The Finance Systems Administrator owns the administration, configuration, and continuous improvement of Keel's finance technology stack, with primary accountability for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, the company's core ERP system. This role partners closely with Finance, Accounting, and IT to implement system changes, build and maintain integrations, and ensure the ERP and related finance systems keep pace with the organization's evolving business needs. The role also leads finance system project implementations and enhancements, including custom code modifications, as Keel's systems landscape continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Administer Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central: manage user access, security roles, and permission sets; maintain master data, workflows, and system configuration; monitor system performance; and coordinate with the ERP vendor or implementation partner on support tickets, patches, and upgrades.
Lead and support system implementations: act as a key contributor on end-to-end ERP and finance system implementation projects — requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, data migration, testing, cutover, and go-live support — and maintain related project and system documentation.
Develop and deploy code-level modifications: design, build, test, and deploy customizations and extensions within Business Central (AL/extensions), including custom reports, workflows, and business logic; manage version control and release processes for custom code.
Build and manage system integrations: develop and maintain integrations between Business Central and other finance or business systems (e.g., banking platforms, AP automation, reporting/BI tools); automate manual processes to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
Support reporting and data integrity: build and maintain reports, dashboards, and data extracts for Finance, Accounting, and FP&A; proactively monitor data quality across finance systems.
Apply system controls: configure appropriate segregation of duties and SOX-aligned controls within the ERP; support internal and external audit requests related to finance systems and access. This person will be the main point of contact with the auditor for ITAC (IT Application Controls) testing.
Provide end-user support and training: act as the primary point of contact for finance system issues; train users on functionality and best practices; maintain standard operating procedures and job aids and development training materials.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years administering an ERP system, with strong, hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or Dynamics NAV) required.
Demonstrated experience on end-to-end ERP or finance system implementation projects — requirements, design, configuration, data migration, testing, and go-live.
Proven ability to write and modify code within Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (AL language and extensions, and/or C/AL), including custom reports, workflows, and integrations.
Working knowledge of SOX process-level controls and system-based control design.
Highly autonomous self-starter who is comfortable owning projects end-to-end with minimal supervision.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into system solutions.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across Finance, Accounting, and IT.
Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset given Keel's Brossard base and cross-border footprint.
Nice to Have
Solid understanding of core finance and accounting processes (AP, fixed assets, general ledger, revenue) and how they translate into ERP configuration.
Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset given Keel's Brossard base and cross-border footprint.
