SUMMARY: The Event Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing brand activations, sponsorships, and experiential events that bring Phusion's brands to life for consumers, retailers, and distributor partners. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong understanding of event logistics, vendor and venue management, and on-site execution. You must also have strong organizational skills, budget management skills, and the ability to problem-solve in real time. You must also possess working knowledge of local permitting and alcohol-sampling compliance requirements. This role partners closely with Trade Marketing, Sales, and outside vendors/agencies, and requires frequent travel and weekend/evening work to support event schedules.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with Marketing and Sales teams to drive Phusion brand positioning and awareness in key markets.
  • Execute brand activations, festivals, sponsorships, and promotional events across the US, from concept through post-event recap.
  • Coordinate event logistics for assigned events in Chicago and other key markets.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, staffing agencies, and promotional partners.
  • Ensure all sampling and activation activity complies with local alcohol regulations, venue requirements, and company compliance standards.
  • Manage event budgets, track spending, and reconcile invoices and expenses in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate brand ambassador and promotional staff scheduling, training, and on-site management for events.
  • Maintain and manage inventory of event assets, signage, and giveaways, while coordinating shipping and storage between events.
  • Partner with Trade Marketing and Sales to align event activity with distributor and retailer priorities.
  • Collaborate with brand marketing to develop marketing collateral (POS, creative, etc.) & to tie-in digital execution.
  • Develop post-event recaps summarizing attendance, execution, spending, and key learnings for leadership.
  • Travel on-site to support and oversee events, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Work in the market to evaluate effectiveness and identify growth opportunities.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • 2-4 years of experience in event planning, experiential marketing, or promotions, ideally within the CPG and/or consumer category.
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with event management/project tracking tools are a plus.
  • Ability to travel frequently, including evenings and weekends, to support event execution.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Experience with budgeting and expense management.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to represent the brand in front of consumers, retailers, and partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision.

COMPENSATION :

The base pay range for this role is $60,000 - $70,000 per year.

The range listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus awards and a cell phone allowance.
