A Brief Overview

RGA is seeking an experienced Executive Director of Unified Asset Management (UAM) to establish and lead a new enterprise capability that governs the lifecycle, visibility, ownership, compliance, and optimization of technology assets across the organization. This leader will build the UAM program from the ground up, including the operating model, governance structure, organizational strategy, service delivery framework, and multi-year roadmap needed to mature asset management into a strategic enterprise capability. The role will create and lead a blended workforce of managed service providers, strategic partners, contractors, and vendors while designing the future-state internal Asset Management organization and partnering across Technology, Infrastructure, Workforce Experience, Cybersecurity, Architecture, Finance, Procurement, Risk, Compliance, and ServiceNow teams to create a trusted system of record and asset intelligence framework across hardware, software, cloud, infrastructure, network, and emerging technologies.

What you will do

  • Develop and execute the enterprise-wide Unified Asset Management vision, strategy, multi-year roadmap, governance framework, policies, target operating model, and transformation plans aligned to business, technology, security, compliance, and financial objectives.
  • Provide executive leadership across asset management capabilities, aligning CIO, CTO, CISO, Finance, Procurement, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Risk, Compliance, Audit, Legal, and business stakeholders around shared priorities and outcomes.
  • Build, lead, and mature the Asset Management organization, including organizational design, workforce planning, staffing strategy, talent development, role definition, career progression, employee engagement, and succession planning.
  • Establish Centers of Excellence for ITAM, HAM, SAM, CMDB governance, asset discovery, asset intelligence, lifecycle management, data quality, and operational accountability.
  • Drive the transition of critical capabilities, institutional knowledge, operational ownership, and decision-making authority from external service providers to sustainable internal teams and operating models.
  • Lead strategic relationships with managed service providers, technology vendors, software partners, and consulting organizations, including service governance, SOWs, SLA oversight, commercial negotiations, performance management, and value realization.
  • Establish enterprise standards, governance forums, steering committees, policy frameworks, ownership models, and controls that support audit readiness, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity requirements, financial controls, legal obligations, and enterprise risk management.
  • Partner with ServiceNow and platform leaders to establish authoritative systems of record and integrated asset intelligence across ServiceNow, Armis, Tanium, discovery platforms, endpoint management systems, CMDB, reconciliation, workflow automation, and operational visibility capabilities.
  • Develop operating plans, investment strategies, budgets, funding models, business cases, financial management practices, license optimization initiatives, vendor spend controls, hardware refresh planning, and measurable value realization outcomes.
  • Define KPIs, KRIs, maturity assessments, dashboards, executive scorecards, continuous improvement plans, and stakeholder communications that demonstrate asset coverage, lifecycle compliance, risk reduction, cost optimization, audit readiness, and business value realization.

Qualifications

  • MBA, advanced business degree, ITIL, IAITAM, SAM, ITAM, ServiceNow, or related certifications preferred
  • 12+ Years of progressive leadership experience in Enterprise Asset Management, IT Asset Management, Service Management, Infrastructure Operations, or related technology disciplines, including 7+ years leading global teams and enterprise transformation programs required
  • Experience partnering with ServiceNow platform teams and using ServiceNow ITAM, SAM, HAM, CMDB, discovery, workflow automation, or related modules; familiarity with Armis, Tanium, Flexera, Snow, endpoint management, or other asset intelligence platforms preferred required
  • Experience managing risk, compliance, audit readiness, regulatory obligations, control frameworks, cybersecurity requirements, software compliance, and lifecycle governance related to technology assets required
  • Experience in highly regulated environments preferred
  • Proven ability to build new organizations, operating models, enterprise capabilities, governance structures, and Centers of Excellence from the ground up. required
  • Strong knowledge of ITAM, SAM, HAM, CMDB governance, discovery, asset lifecycle management, data quality, reconciliation, inventory accuracy, and trusted systems of record. required
  • Demonstrated success leading managed service providers, strategic vendors, consulting partners, contract governance, service performance, commercial oversight, and value realization. required
  • Strong financial acumen, including budget planning, cost optimization, software license management, vendor spend governance, investment planning, and business case development. required
  • Ability to influence senior executives, align complex stakeholder groups, communicate business value, and lead change in a global enterprise environment. required

Compensation Range:

$126,710.00 - $188,840.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
